The official language on board is English. There is a multilingual crew (Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian, French, Russian, etc.). The conferences are usually in English, with translation via mobile app for some languages, and there may be zodiac guide in other languages depending on availability.
Yes. The ships have ADA accessible cabins with adapted bathrooms and space for wheelchairs (maximum 65 cm wide, which the passenger must bring). It is required to notify in advance and meet operational conditions
Yes. Laundry service, dry cleaning and ironing (with charge). There is also free self-service with washing machine, dryer and ironing area on deck 4.
Gastronomy is included and carefully prepared: the ships have three main spaces – the Swan Restaurant (gourmet dinners with JRE/Michelin chefs), the Club Lounge and the Poolside Grill & Bar. International food, regional, show-cooking, local gastronomic experience, selected wines and standard drinks are included
A guided port excursion is included. In remote areas (Arctic/Antarctic) they include Zodiac landings, use of parkas and rubber boots, environmental conferences and activities such as kayaking, snorkeling, citizen science collaboration and wildlife watching
In the Arctic, the average summer temperature ranges between 0 °C and 10 °C (June to September).
In Antarctica (peninsula), temperatures are expected between −5 °C and 15 °C, with a colder wind chill. The warmest month is January
Depending on the itinerary, you may need a visa or be vaccinated against certain diseases. The company will notify you after your booking about the requirements according to your nationality, and you should confirm with the corresponding embassy, as rules can change without prior notice. Some ports issue specific visas for cruise passengers
The official currency on board is the USD. All expenses are charged to your cruise account; Visa, Mastercard, and American Express are accepted. There is no cash exchange on board, so bring local currency or use a card
The ships use hybrid energy and comply with Polar standards (PC 5 and PC 6). They eliminate single-use plastics, use low-consumption LED lighting and reusable bottles, as well as support citizen science initiatives and environmental collaborations with institutions such as SETI and the Philippe Cousteau Foundation
Yes. You can be part of programs of citizen science, such as data collection on clouds (NASA), whale sightings (Happywhale), phytoplankton monitoring or Antarctic bird counting, and interacting with scientists on board
