Our ambition is to secure a healthy future for our ocean. Not only do we seek continuous improvements to minimize our carbon, energy, waste and water footprints onboard, but we partner with not-for-profit organizations to advance ocean education and protection so it thrives for generations to come.
A Net Zero Future
Virgin Voyages is commited to achieving Net Zero Carbon emissions by 2050. We have designed an efficient ship with new technologies, like Climeon, to optimize and reduce our fuel consumption, and are commited to continuous improvement.
Fuel efficient & Smart design
State-of-the-art technologies optimize fuel and energy usage throughout teh ship, from LED lightining to cabin sensors that auto-close curtains, turn off lightning, and adjust A/C settings. Even "The Band", our personal smart tech wereable, is made with recycled marine and coastal plastics.
Waste not, want not
Our approach to waste is to not generate it in the first place. We’ve banned single-use plastics from the Sailor experience and done away with buffets; food is made-to-order. Disposable products are sustainably sourced and we divert waste from the landfill through our onboard recycling program.
Marine Protection
We believe in advocating for the current and future health of our oceans. On board, we serve sustainable fish and seafood and promote the use of reef-safe sunscreen. Through partnerships with non-for-profits, we also invite Sailors to join in advancing global ambitions to protect our ocean.

Thoughtfully sourced food & beverage
Food and beverages on board have been responsibly sourced — including sustainable fish and seafood, direct-trade coffee and tea, and high-quality ingredients from small businesses. Vegetarian and vegan-friendly options are available at every eatery, so you can enjoy your food and feel good about it.
