2. How is my account managed onboard?

Onboard purchases are billed to your onboard spending account. Your account is set-up during embarkation/check-in where a major credit card is required; Visa, Master Card, or American Express. We are unable to honor personal checks or letters of credit. Traveler’s Checks are accepted (please notify us of your desire to use these onboard during embarkation). Accounts may be settled at the end of your voyage with either credit card or cash. Cash advances are limited to US $400 per card/day – max. 3 cards for a daily total of $1,200/day. There is a 4% service charge for cash advances.

3. Do you accept Children

No child under the age of one (1) year at the time of sailing will be accepted as a Guest. Any Guest under the age of eighteen (18) years at the time of sailing must be accompanied by an adult Guest over the age of eighteen. If the adult is not a parent, Parental/Guardianship Consent must be signed by the minor’s parent or legal guardian and delivered to the Carrier eight weeks before sailing. You agree to fully supervise any and all persons under the age of eighteen (18) accompanying you during your cruise. You also agree to indemnify Carrier for any and all damage caused by such persons, or for any injury, illness or death to such persons to which lack of adequate and proper adult supervision contributed in whole or part.

4. How do I communicate with home while away?

Wireless internet is available for purchase onboard. Service is billed to your onboard account. The price per log-in is $35/day or $99/week for unlimited use (single log-in). At sea we are using satellite internet which is not going to be as fast as you may be used to at home. Bandwidth limitations restrict use of certain applications such as Skype, Netflix, HBO, and other online streaming audio or video apps and services. Service quality/availability may vary depending on the yachts’ location. Yacht to Shore telephone service: Each stateroom is equipped with a telephone. Use is charged to your stateroom at USD $4.95 per minute worldwide for outgoing calls. Calls to other staterooms onboard are free. Charges for incoming calls (yachts use a Norway number) are set by your service provider. Fax: Send/Receive for USD $4.95 per page.

5. Will my mobile phone work onboard?

We do not specifically support onboard cellular service. Your mobile phone may, at times, receive a signal while at sea; this depends strictly on the yachts’ position relative to land towers. Contact your mobile carrier for rates and service availability.

6. Are there Medical Facilities?

Both yachts have medical facilities staffed by a physician. This facility is equipped to provide limited medical care for illness or accidents that may arise during the sailing. It is not intended to provide ongoing medical treatment for pre-existing conditions. If you anticipate a need for medical services aboard the yacht, SeaDream Yacht Club must approve your special requirements in writing. Since we are either at sea or in ports where availability of medical facilities and pharmaceutical products may be limited, we suggest you bring adequate supplies of prescription medications and other health related items. Charges for medical assistance and for dispensed prescriptions will be billed to your onboard account.

7. Are vaccinations required?

All guests must ensure that they are medically and physically fit for travel. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) provide guidelines as to which vaccinations are required in each country. In many cases, inoculations are recommended, but in some circumstances, they are required. We suggest that you check with your health care professional for guidance.

8. Should I tip?

Gratuities for crew are included in with your voyage fare. As such, tipping is neither required nor expected.

9. What Travel Documents do I need?

Guests are responsible for obtaining all required official travel documents (Passports, Visas, Proof of Immunizations) prior to embarkation. Passports should be valid for at least 6 months past the voyage end date. Visas & Immunizations may be required for some itineraries. SeaDream does not provide visa services. Please contact your Travel Professional or a reputable visa service for assistance. Failure to provide the require documentation at embarkation will result in denied boarding with no refund of voyage fare or travel expenses.

10. What electrical voltage is in my stateroom?

The voltage in staterooms match both the U.S. standard (110 volts AC, flat prongs) and the European standard (220 volts AC, round prongs).
